John 10:10
I have come that you might have life and have it more abundantly.
Is there really such a thing as an abundant life? If there is then why is my life such a roller coaster ride with the Lord? Understanding and of course as always believing what Jesus has given you will revolutionize your daily experience with Jesus. Over the years people have been teaching that there are two types of life that Jesus came to give us - life (unleaded) and abundant life (super high octane). That simply isn't true.
Look at what Jesus said, "...have life and have IT more abundantly." There is only one life mentioned here. The word "it" refers to the "life" that he just said he would give to you. The word "abundantly" refers to the degree to which you might have that one life. Jesus came to give you life. His life. The Life of God. God only has one type of life, His own life. Imagine what that involves! WOW! He has given all of his life to you - ALL of it! He has not withheld one single drop of his life. He has abundantly provided it and given it to you. He said I came that you might have life more abundantly. More abundantly than what? Than we could possibly imagine.
The problem is not with God. He has done all He can to deliver his life to us. He is the ultimate giver. The problem is on our part. We need to receive what he has provided and given us. How do we do that? By absolutely believing what God says. Sometimes that's hard to do - to simply believe Him. There is a way for it to become easy to believe and receive all that God has given you. Practice the teaching found in Say It! The True Confessions section provides scripture and examples for you. As you do this remember you are building your spirit. It is within your spirit that God dwells and you must learn to meet him there. "God is a spirit and those who worship him must worship him in spirit and truth." ( John 4:23-24) Enjoy the full rich life of God that Jesus has abundantly given to you by:
Say it - hear yourself saying what God says, hearing the word builds faith.
Believe It - Use your faith to believe in your heart the things God says.
Do It - Submit to God and do what God says, practicing the word.
Receive It - Thank God for fulfilling His own word of promise, do not doubt Him.
Tell It - Proclaim to others the truths you are believing.
Stand On It - Remain firm and unwavering, resist the devil.
It is also important to do these things in this order. Do not take a stand and tell others things that you are not speaking, believing and, acting upon.
